Acer Aspire Notebook No internet

Hey guys wondering if u can help, ive been giving a Acer Aspire Zg5 notebook to sort out but since im not faimillar with it im not sure what im doing. The problem is that it will not pick up any wireless connection in the list so i am unable to connect to the internet, ive tried connecting a wire but still no connection, i have a recovery CD put not sure how im going to use that since it has no dvd drive and i dont have a usb drive any ideas on what the problem is?

Check device manager and see if the device is ok to use or has a yellow exclamation mark.

Does the computer have a anti virus suite with firewall?
