I am trying to connect a Philips wireless headset (SHB3165) to my Acer Aspire V3-551 running Windows 8.1 but I am not having any success. I can see that the headset has been paired with the laptop but the option 'allow a device to connect' is greyed out (the option cannot be selected).

I have updated the drivers and I am now at a loss as to what else to do. Can anyone please help?

If it's already paired then surely you don't need to 'allow a device to connect'?

Have you tried changing the default audio device to the headset? Does it appear there?

Thanks Darwin1859 but the wireless headset is not showing up under 'play back' when I right click on the sound/volume icon on the lower right hand side of the screen. The only options I am seeing are (1) an external monitor and (2) the laptop's speakers.

I have done everything possible. The first time I connected the wireless headset it worked for a day. Since closing down the lappy and booting it up again I have not been able to get it to work.... also it is not showing up under devices.
