Acer d255 ram upgrade

Hi,

I have the Acer Aspire one D255 and I want to upgrade the harddrive and ram.

May as well do them both while its apart.

I'll probably stick a 500-640gb sata hdd in there, and I think I found the RAM type I need: 204 Pin SO DIMM DDR3 PC3-8500 1066MHz

But, how do I fit it? I've been told its a pita but I have never done it before

I have the D250. If they are the same, then there are removable panels underneath which allow access to the RAM, Hard disk, and Wifi. I upgraded my RAM to 2Gb with no problems.

If it's an older version, there wont be the access panels on the bottom. There are video guides on YouTube showing how to dismantle these (looks more trouble than it's worth.)

Also just googled your model and it appears to need DDR2 not DDR3. Might be worth checking again before you buy.
