Acer G24

whats it like for all other aspects of use like films and normal usage in viewing like surfing and office apps not to bothered about photo editing thanks

I have one. Its nice, but in low light situations, the backlight bleeding is very visable. Dunno if thats a problem to you, but during the day, with a lot of natural light in the room, its hardly noticable.
I've had mine for about 6 months now. I got it for £230 which I think is reasonable for what you get. I wouldn't pay over £300 for one though.

Great for gaming, Not really any complaints. Just make sure you're in a well lit room when playing dark games, otherwise you'll go nuts trying to ignore the backlight bleeding.

so where did you get it for 230 from then as they are a lot more than that were i am looking....my room is aways well lighted as im scared of the dark lol

I got it from the B-grade section on ocUK when they used to stock them, it made a funny buzzing noise when I got it, so I sent it back to Acer, and they sent me a brand new unit. ocUK don't stock them anymore though :(

ok ive just been to my mates who has one of these all i can say is its awesome...the only gripe is the reflective screen ....so can someone explain to me why they recommend the HP LP2475w would be better than this monitor thanks.

I have one of these and tbh i find the reflective screen brings out the colours so much better my only gripe with it is the viewing angles which doesnt really bother me as i have my other monitor for wathcing films etc. I do have a small amounth of backlight bleeding in the bottom left of my screen but tbh i very rarely notice it...
