Acer gemstone 6920/6930

acer 6920 or 6930..both the same price

similar specs for both, but the 6920 has a 667 FSB and the 6930 has a 800FSB

trade off is the 6920 has a radeon 3650 against the 6930's nvidia 9300

anybody had a fiddle with either of these?

so what it boils down to..is the T5750 and a redeon 3650 going to outperform a t5800 and a 9300M Gs?

modest gaming and blu ray playback (its a desktop replacement for my missus..so she leaves mine alone!!)

I can't answer the question of comparison, but I have the 6920 with the same spec as you state. I have had it for about a couple of months with no major issues, games like SBK08, COH and COD2 play no problems at very reasonable detail settings. Blu ray playback is excellent but I have experienced a few problems getting it to output to my 50" Samsung (driver issue, ATI mobile driver support is apparently poor). Build quality is good for the price and it looks fantastic. Processor seems fine for the tasks I do (gaming, movies, surfing, office etc).

I ended up getting the 6920g..its just looked so damn nice all lit up

speakers are not bad for a portable device!

I can live without the external out put I think as I have a standalone player in the house already..but it does mean my missus can watch our blu ray discs on her train journeys
