acer help

have an acer laptop with a dying screen ,just wondering can you connect up an external moniter without going into bios ect
sorry if a basic question but i dont know

Usually there is a key combo to do it, this should work regardless of system state even before OS is loaded.

On my laptop is function then F5, look for a matching picture on the function keys.

ah yes blue squares on f5 , many thanks will give that a try
