Acer Iconia W500 screen bubble

Here is a strange one, my sister has a Acer Iconia W500 tablet and is very happy with it, but it has developed a “bubble” that’s the only way I can describe it on the screen it’s about the size of o two pence and it’s like part of the screen is separating from the other, and it doesn’t have a screen protector.

Has any of you heard of such a thing?
