OK Folks,
Got a small problem regarding my creaky old 14 inch Acer aspire I think it is, laptop.
I bought it way back in 2017, it's run Windows 10 with absolutely no issues whatsoever, I doubled the RAM and put an SSD in it not long after I bought it.

Now that Windows 10 is basically gone the way of the dead parrot, I wanted to install Linux. My distro of choice is mint, so I've installed that and overwritten Windows 10 with it. Once I tried to boot up into Linux mint, the SSD has now disappeared, I don't think the laptop bios can actually see the ext4 file system that Linux uses.

I did have an Acer netbook many years ago that used linpus lite, not owning that netbook anymore means I can't find out what distro that it was based on.

So my question is, what Linux distribution will work with said Acer laptop.

Looking elsewhere, good old AI seems to think it's manjaro.

Thanks.

Ignore me - I sussed it after following a guide in the Linux mint forums. I had to do a bit of tweaking in the Bios and setting a supervisor password, then getting the Bios to boot from a file that was installed with Mint.
