acer laptop ..partition

Hi everyone.. I have a acer aspire 5742 and want to make a partition so aswell as the c drive i can have a bit to store files on but dont know how to make a partition.. Any help plz ..Tia..

if you click start, then right click my computer, manage , disk management and shrink your c: drive it will create a free partion you can then set up as a D: drive for data.
