Acer laptop, swapping HDD's

Got an acer laptop and a spare SSD.

I want to put winXP on the SSD, but I have an acer net book with no optical drive.

How would i go about it ?

Didn't know whether to put this in laptops or software.

easiest solution would be to borrow an external usb drive, if you cant get access to one your options are kinda limited

you could try and get hold of a USB to IDE cable and plug in a DVD drive. That how i go about installing OS on Acer netbooks.

can do, for the cost though would it not be easier ot buy a nice shiny external optical drive

Yes, I've done it by using a USB optical drive. It flies along now.
