Have bought the above and works ok but fat32 etc. you know the rest so a reformat is required, no problem but as been desktop user for years don't know to much about battery managment,
If I reformat to ntfs will the windows power options be ok to use instead of the acer one as it comes with a load of other stuff that I don't need.
Cheers

after i formaed the misses laptop i downloaded the acer empower thingy not the package but just the power management from there website, seems to do the job ok

No need to reformat to get to NTFS....

go to command prompt and type "convert"

it should begin a process then tell you to reboot, once it reboots it will convert the disk to NTFS from FAT32.

Thanks for the quick replies think I will reformat so it starts with one single partion all nice and clean, and try the windows power man. if no good can download acer one.
Thanks again
