I have an Acer M3641 which came with 3gb of Transcend RAM (1x1gb +1x2gb). Lately i have been getting a lot of BSOD so after a fresh install of Vista didnt cure the problem i tried other things. I tested the memory through Vista which told me i had hardware issues, so i assumed it was the sticks, but if i use them independantly in the PC in slot 1 i get no issues.
Could it be that the actual dimm slot is FUBAR'd ? If so, do i have any options other than replace the Mobo ?
Any help is appreciated. Dont wanna get the 4gb of ram i ordered if it aint gonna work
