I've got a X34A Predator monitor that I've had for just over a year. Every now and then, when I turn it on, I notice a thin purple vertical line over on the left side of the screen, a couple of inches from the left.
A quick Google suggests that this is a result of the panel and how it's put under pressure in the case, or the result of a manufacturing defect.
If I turn it off for a little while and then back on, sometimes the purple line disappears. I understand that the Predator monitors have a two year 'walk in' warranty - i.e. you return it to an authorised Acer reseller.
Should I return it now (is it going to get worse?) and although I didn't buy it from OCUK, can I return it via them? Not buying it from OCUK was my first mistake and I don't trust the company I bought it from after hearing about some very bad experiences.
