Acer Nitro 5 ram upgrade and storage upgrade

Hi i have a acer nitro 5 laptop and want to upgrade ram to 16gb and also want to upgrade to m.2 drive
If i currently have ssd drive and add m.2 drive would i need to do a fresh windows install
Also where is best place to buy ram and storage for my laptop pls

Any help would be great

You should not need to re-install Windows again. Why do you think you might?

If you're using the new drive as storage, no.

If you want to use your new drive as the boot drive then you'll have to clone it there from your SSD.

Personally, I prefer to do a fresh install if install a new boot drive. It helps keep it, well, fresh.

Personally I would do a clean install whenever upgrading my main storage.

thanks as i only game on laptop and watch videos i assume 16gb ram will be enough
not really sure on storage but what about m.2 1tb

It's probably worth jumping straight to 2TB given current pricing.
