Hello i purchased a acer predator triton 500 recently and im having a problem getting Gsync to work. Theres no option in control panel. very limited options overall.

i think its related to having two gpus on board and automatic switching between the two but i cant seem to disable the intel GPU.

any ideas?

If your laptop has Optimus for switching between the onboard GPU and and the dedicated GPU, it does not have G-Sync.

What's the specific model of your notebook?

Can you do this @youdsy if it's not there it might be a driver issue.

EDIT: What nVidia driver version do you have installed?

No it’s not there unfortunately. I’m using latest hotfix but have used the previous game ready one Aswell.

There’s no options in control panel as the display is controlled by the intel gpu. Frequency settings etc are controlled in the intel control panel .

Yeah that option isn’t there or in the bios either. The only Acer Triton 500 that I’ve seen from review that has gsync is the 2080 variant. So why are overclockers advertising the 2070 variant as gsync capable when it’s clearly not ?

Sounds like you need to take this further and get clarification on the real answer. You might need to ask Acer that question though.
