I just had one of these delivered today and was a bit disappointed when I turned it on for the first time. Noticed some backlight bleed in each corner and even worse, a dead/stuck pixel close to the middle of the panel. I tried my best to show this in the pic below.

I've never had to deal with monitor QA problems before thankfully and we recently got a shipment of 15 Dell U3415s at work and didn't have a single dead pixel or bleed that looked even close to this. Spending this much for these results is pretty surprising especially since the Dell model is quite a bit cheaper.

I'd like to get people's feedback on whether this is RMA territory or if there's anything I can do myself to sort out these problems?

Thanks for that I wasn't even aware! Found a second one below it that didn't show up on black background too. The BLB is pretty terrible when watching movies even with the brightness turned down.

I read about panels nowadays being a bit of a lottery, guess this is what that means. I think I'll contact support and see if I can return for a replacement.

If it was one pixel tucked up in a corner I could maybe live with it. But yeah the positioning is pretty unlucky, I'm noticing it every time I get a dark background. For the price I didn't think I'd have to face this level of light bleed either. Hopefully you'll have better luck!

I would rma as the affected pixel is central which can be quite distracing. Cant imagine you would get another screen with dead pixel. Ive seen around 3 acers and 3 asus panels and not one with dead pixels , im normaly dead unlucky with those kind of things.

What brightness do you have your panel on ? if the picture is true to how you see it you could get 1 with less blb i only seen 1 acer to the same extent as your bleed that ive used hands on.

The picture was taken with the default brightness which I've turned down to 50% now. That definitely helps the blb but still noticeable if you look for it with a uniform dark screen. To be honest I could probably live with that. But not with this pixel, if it doesn't come back to life I will try to return it.

That is awful. I never had blb as bad as that on my (now defunct) X34. I wouldn't accept that, I would return it to the seller. Did you buy it from OCUK?

Yes purchased from OCUK, thankfully I'm having it collected and returned for replacement. Hoping the next one is better as I do quite like the monitor! Did you have a problem with your panel?

Worth giving this a shot

apply a bit of pressure to the pixel as well. Though for £800 I would expect a perfect panel tbh

Thanks for the suggestion but I've tried that to no avail unfortunately, this is one stubborn pixel! It does seem to fade a little after some time but never fully comes back to life. It would be nice to imagine you get what you pay for!
