thinking of buying the acer 1440p monitor,i still have my 27 inch hazro ips 1440p monitor, which looks stunning with colors that pop.only thing in fast games like bf4,i can see blurring, when panning the camera around, should i upgrade, will the blurring disappear with the asus screen, or will i be wasting my money.

I have never seen any blur when playing BF4 ....either with IPS or with the 144Hz TN Monitor im using ...in fact the monitor I'm using for games ( The TN Panel ) my BF4 looks stunning :)

You do have Motion Blur set to off in BF4 Options yes ?

i have motion blur set to 0 in bf4 settings. but when panning camera slow or fast it blurs when running in a straight line its a perfect picture, it only seems to do it in bf4

Yes, it will. I have a Hazro 27" IPS too, its a great looking panel, but its not exactly the quickest around. But I also have a 144hz TN panel and the difference between the two in terms of ghosting is night and day, especially with ULMB on (lightboost 2 software hack on my model). BF4 is much better to play with a high refresh rate.

I'm currently working on selling both of these screens and getting a single IPS 144hz monitor. But it is a new combination of tech and I'm not convinced the Predator is the right screen to go for, especially with all the QC problems that have been reported. The new ROG will hopefully be better, I guess we'll find out...

Do you mean Acer or Asus ?

The Acer XG270HU is a TN Panel with 1ms so yes it could solve your problem but bear in mind this is a TN Panel not IPS and you may not get a good picture colour wise as you would with the Hazro as IPS is better than TN in that respect. Its also a Freesync monitor so if you have a AMD card it would be a good buy for better and smoother frame rates.

However personally I cant stand Acer products so I wouldn't recommend it.

yes i have amd msi gaming 290oc card. but i thought the acer tn panel at 1440p would be similar in colors and vibrance to the ips 1440p

Ever since I got my BenQ XL2420T 144Hz edition, I have never saw any Ghosting or Blurring, I am myself debating whether I should get the ROG 27 Inch (165 Hz) when it's out or the Super-wide but I cannot see myself splashing over a grand on a monitor.. Even £750 is too much and with all the QC problems, The prices are insane, However the Acer are cheaper but are they for a reason? I am not sure.

On sale at the moment for £300, from £350. I will be buying one within the next 2 or 3 weeks, sucks I'm gonna have to miss the offer though :(

The BenQ XL2730Z has less motion blur than the Acer according to TFTCentral, so it might be a better choice for you.
