I just smashed my Acer X34 DP cable.

Just wondering what kind of cable is it? (1.1 to 1.4 etc needs to support 100mhz)

Anyone got any recommendations for a cable which is around 2m and works fine?

Cheers

You'll want a 1.4 good quality cable that is as short as possible, I had to swap one displayport cable out because it was too long for 2560x1440/144hz

Despite what you may read, there is no such thing as a DisplayPort 1.1 cable and DisplayPort 1.2 cable. A standard DisplayPort cable, including the so-call DisplayPort 1.1 cables, will work for any DisplayPort configuration including the new capabilities enabled by DisplayPort 1.2, including 4K and multi-stream capabilities. All standard DisplayPort cables support RBR, HBR (High Bit Rate), and HBR2 (High Bit Rate 2), which can support 4K at 60Hz, or up to four 1080p displays using multi-stream.

Have a read here then use their product database to ensure you get a good cable

Any links to about a 2m one which has worked with X34 or equivalent monitor?

A guy at work gave me a DP cable at work which comes with work computers - I guess this wont work as its a business Dell computer and quite old?
