Acer X34P IPS Glow/Backlight bleed....

Hi all.

Just received my Acer X34P and the IPS glow seems to be quite a lot (picture in link). Has anyone else had the same amount with their pannel. Im trying to decide if this is just normal for the monitor or whether I need to replace it.

Right side is fine the left side not so much, I have a little backlight bleed/glow on my monitor but it doesn't distract me 99% of the time (nowhere near as bad as that), if it's a dark scene then it can slightly. I know we can't talk about prices but did you pay under £650 for it? Honestly though if it bothers you when you use it get rid of it otherwise keep it, nothing in life is perfect although I'd be angry if I paid the full £1000 for it and would likely return it.
 
That is horrendous. I don't know what to expect from these UW monitors. But I wouldn't accept that

It wouldn't take me long to decide... I can't believe crap like this is still getting sold.
 
Mmm, photos can give a misleading impression, but if that's how it appears to your eyes this is not good. My OG X34 isn't anywhere near this bad. They all have it, to some degree or another, but you appear to have a really bad example. :(
 
Does it look like that to eye in a dark room? It's hard to take a photo and replicate.

It is doesn't annoy you day to day and its bad in dark room usage then no problem
