Hi,

I’m looking into buying either the X35 or PG35VQ, I can get the ACER for around £430 cheaper than the ASUS but im wondering if the fan issues have been resolved and also the quality of both monitors. I have heard that the ASUS has better quality control generally and feels more of a premium product over the X35. Also have all the flickering issues been resolved and how good/bad is the black smearing and ghosting on the monitors. My GF has an MSI Optix MAG241C which is a VA panel and I don’t really notice any black smearing or ghosting with it and generally its a good monitor, just too small for my taste. Any advice or answers are much appriciated.

Thanks

I have a acer x34p that runs at 120hz over clocked and I've had zero problem's with it apart from a little bit of back light bleed but this is expected.

The flickering issue was fixed with a firmware update. I have the PG35VQ and it is awesome there is zero noise from the fan. HDR is really good as well. I can't comment on the X35. There can be tiny amounts of smearing if you look for it, but when playing games I don't notice any. If you don't notice it on the MSI you probably won't notice it on this because it's one of the better VA panels for lack of smear. Amazing monitor. If you have the money, I recommend it. They are insanely priced though.

Cheers Dirk. Yep I'm aware that flickering was fixed Nd can see the firmware update. Just wondering if they fixed it for the X34.

Can't bring myself to lay more than 2k on a monitor!!
