Acer x35 or Acer x38s with ps5 (ps4 pro) : does it accept 4k signal ?

Hello!

I considering to buy one of those ultrawide monitors to use with pc and ps5 (dont have a TV) the thing is them both as you know not a 4k monitors (x35 -1440p and x38s- 1600p) and ps5 still dont support 1440p. I read many threads that some 1440p monitors accept 4k signal drom ps4 pro and ps5 and downsample from 4k therefore the image quality is better than 1080p upscaled to 1440p monitor.

But find no info about those 2 ultrwide monitors. Can someone tell me or do a quick test and say does they support 4k input from ps5 or ps4 pro ?

No they don't support 4K at all it says so in the user manual, it will work at 1080p 120hz max but then what is the point of buying that monitor.

Thanks for the answer. The thing is i already own ultrawide monitor Acer x34p so become very attached to 21:9 aspect ratio and use it with ps5 also with black borders by the sides which makes it equivalent to 27 inch 16:9 monitor (which im okay with) but ps5 only show 1080p resolution as an option. So want to upgrade for newer better ultrawide which has HDR 600 or 1000 nits max and can also accept 4k from ps5 to use it as monitor for both pc and ps5.

Your still going to have the same issues as you current monitor with the PS5, even the newest OLED ultrawide from Alienware has the same limitations.
