Acer xbv271hk 4K 100hz

Hi,

Has anyone seen any info on the above monitor?, was looking at 4K g sync and this popped up on the acer site but I can't find any reviews on whether the 100hz overclock is any good.

That's the first I've heard of this model and I couldn't find the 'XBV' variant on Acer's website. Are you sure you didn't see this on some retailer website? The 100Hz overclock mention is more than likely a typo - simple copy and paste from another monitor. Unless this uses DP 1.3/DP 1.4 then you won't be getting such performance.

Could be a typo, it's on the acerdirect store which I thought was Acer but looking at it again looks like a reseller.

hmmn. its a new one on me too. certainly a new model name so its possible it's a new screen we've yet to see anything about. seems odd though as they list it as available in a couple of weeks, but there's been no press release, no news from Acer, nothing on their website. Maybe it's a longer term release and won't appear for a while (if specs are correct and it is 100Hz), or maybe theyve got the spec wrong and it's a less note-worthy new screen coming out with little fuss. I'll do some digging

Acer tell me that the model part number listed on that site is for the existing XB271HK and that they have no info on any upcoming model with those specs. Sounds like it might be an error from what they've told me
