Now i know this is a broad question but Im really struggling to decide between two monitors (well 3 actually)
Im stuck between 3 screens and need some help. Ive been looking now for months and im starting to get to the point where im annoying myself with it !!
Acer XR382CQK
Dell UP3216Q
LG 38UC99
Im a graphic designer (who likes to game) and I currently use a Dell Ultrasharp 3011 but my monitor is on its way out and i cant really wait much longer. My initial thought was to get the Dell UP3216Q but recently i got speaking to another graphic designer and he said he had purchased the LG 38UC99 which he loved and said it was great for graphic design (which is the same panel as the Acer XR382CQK) and im aware the LG is more focused around professionals but the Acer XR382CQK (which im finding myself leaning towards) is supposed to be highly colour accurate, it also got a better design, 3 years warranty (over the LGs one) and has much less input lag than the Dell UP3216Q and LG 38UC99.
So my initial thoughts are, surely the Acer XR382CQK and LG38U99 will be similar in colours and design as they are the same panel afterwall.
My biggest fear with the Acer XR382CQK & LG 38UC99is edge bleeding and uniformity, would these screens suffer this ? would the Dell be any better.
Now i know there is new HDR monitors coming out soon but in all honesty i find HDR a bit pointless and hear that due to games needing to support hdr and browsing the web and general use the HDR will be deactivated I honestly dont want to nor think i can wait for something decent to arrive soon as i was thinking of the ASUS PG35VQ but thats been delayed as well.
So what im asking is it worth compromising the colour accuracy and screen quality of the dell up3216q with a bigger screen, better dpi sweet spot, are theses lg acer panels still good quality or am i fooling myself and will i find the lg/acer a huge drop in quality even compared to my Dell 3011 ?
