Hi,

If you had the choice of getting an acer or toshiba similar specs but the toshiba was £50 more expensive what would you do?

Are acers unreliable? Even the slightly older models such as Acer Aspire 5715Z Gemstone Laptop??

Toshiba were offering a free 3 year warranty and a full refund if the system failed* (radio advert not read the T+C, was 6 months ago)

Acer gives a 1 year warranty on parts reduced to 3 months once repaired. I personally don't know anyone that's sent their laptop to be repaired less than twice, but mine's going back for the 9th time this week. Shoddy repair work and inability to troubleshoot.

Go with the tosh if possible.

Best reason is acer's build quality is generally a bit average, i got a free acer one for uni last year and ultimatly felt a little cheated by it :( (now replaced with the uber discounted samsung x22..)
