Pictures to follow tonight, when my phone decided it can send photos....

But its a 1993 VW Golf 1.8GL
112K miles
In pretty good nick. Passenger side electric window doesn't work, passenger side rear door plastic trim missing. and no stop(is it called a gator?) on the reverse on gearbox.

Bottom of engine is bone dry no oil leaks or anything :)

4 VW alloys 2bold tyres, 1 fine tyre but punctured, 1 completley fine tyre. (could I sell those alloys for much?)
4 steel wheels.

Cd player. wahooo.....

all for the grand sum of £270.. (they wanted £300 so got my 10% which I always try)

I was shocked churchill only wanted an extra £160 including a £25 admin fee.. which I thought was great, seeing as its double the engine size.

Only thing is which We didn't notice before we bought it, is the rear shocks are on there way out. How much can you get replacments for? I'll fit them myself unless you need special tools.


anyway well happy :).. and its so quite inside the cab..

I forgot, Mot till feb, Taxed till august.

MOther ****** ******, got broken into last night, Smashed rear qaurter window. And took the lock out the p[assenger side. Didn't nick the stereo as I dont leave the face in the car.. ****** waste of space ****** they all need shooting....

They left the lock in the door, I assume so you get the wondow replaced, then they can just take ythe lock out and open the door...

whats the rear quarter window called?

Nearside quarter light?
 
can anyone name any cheap VW spare parts places to look for some rear shocks, can't go above 90 on the motorway, gets a bit bouncy at the rear LOL..

But maybe thats a good thing.

Yeh but what can you do, its life....
Managed to cut a bit of ply to size and put it in the seal. So its waterproof at least. Going to phone around breakers yards tomoz to find a 2nd window. Hopfully cheap.

drives fine apart from, the rear shocks and the gearbox. just hard finding first..

£19 inc delivery for the window :)

Just leaves the lock to sort out at some point.

Cambelt (is that the timing belt?)

Have I forgoten anything on a general service, would you bother changing the fuel filter?
 
it only cost me £270 so don't want to do to much to her, gearbox oil change is a good idea. Front shocks I'll leave they feel fine.
