Hey guys, I know your thinking I can't possibly be starting to work on ANOTHER project log before insomnia, well i'm certainly going to try!
First a little background, this won't be a completely new build instead i'm moving the components from my primary gaming rig αclass into a new home and making a few additions in the process. The new home in question is Parvum's first retail ATX case, the L1.0, all will be revealed as the log progresses over the next week.
The main reason for using this hardware rather than starting another build was because it's all sitting ready to go, it's a complete system and i'm confident that everything works. So with any luck it will be quite a straight forward rebuild with none of the latency that occurs when trying to involve multiple sponsors. I'm very grateful to alphacool for immediately coming through with all of the 'extra' radiators required to fill out this beast to it's full potential, as well as a lovely bundle of fresh 13mm acrylic tube.
Just to make things a little more complicated, as of course just doing a complete rebuild in a new case isn't much of a challenge! I will be adding a third GTX780 Classified, a bigger PSU and some more fans. Because the AX860 was the biggest unit in Corsairs AX Platinum line, I will be switching it for a 1200W Seasonic which kind of shares the same pinout, except all the 8-pins are upside down. So there is some additional sleeving and modification on the to do list! So that brings the full specification up to the following...
Parvum Systems L1.0
Intel Ivy Bridge-E i7-4820k
ASUS Rampage IV Formula
ASUS Xonar Essence STX
EVGA GTX780 Classified x3
Corsair Dominator Platinum 4x4GB 2133C9
Corsair Neutron GTX 240GB RAID0
Seasonic P Series 1200W Platinum
Alphacool NexXxos ST30 360
Alphacool NexXxos UT60 480
Alphacool NexXxos Monsta 360 x2
Alphacool Hard Tube 10/13mm Acrylic
Aquacomputer Aquaero 5 LT x2
Corsair Quiet Edition SP120 x16
Corsair Quiet Edition AF120 x2
EK Supremacy EVO Clean CSQ Nickel/Plexi
EK FC780 GTX Classy Clean CSQ Nickel/Plexi x3
EK FC780 GTX Classy Backplate x3
EK FC-Bridge Triple Parallel
EK D5 Vario X-TOP Clean CSQ Plexi
EK RES X3 250 Black Acetal
EK RES X3 Multiport Top Black Acetal
Many EKWB, Primochill and Bitspower fittings
As i'm rebuilding my main rig which I use for to write and edit all of the project logs this one might be a bit weird. I will try to keep it current and of high quality but that may just mean a single picture update.
Straight in with Classified #3, a few of you reading should recognize this one.
Going to be needing some extra Classy blocks for the extra Classy, so overnighted from Slovenialand some EK greatness.
...hmmm much Clean CSQ.
I bet my current blocks won't be this clean after a year of blood red
Sorry guys, no case just yet, but the first ever L1.0 has been cut, and it's waiting.
Well my rig is just sitting backing up, ready to be powered down for the final time before it's disassembled and cleaned. Catch you all soon, it's going to be a busy week.
