Acoustic Energy Aego and Amps

Hi guys .
is it possible to conect a set of Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers to a amp ? or will something go BANG :eek:

if i where to go with some Kef Cresta 10s . would they give better sound than my Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers .i would still need to buy a amp as well .or maybe some JBL CONTROL 1 speakers .not sure if the JBLs are better than the Kef Cresta 10s .

not sure if my sound card has the fittings to do this .its a Audigy 4 .i was looking at the Creative's Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro i know this would do the job but that would cost me £200 so its not cheap
