ACPI 2.0 Support

I am currently trying to diagnose the cause of the random freezes my PC is experiencing and I am getting desperate!

There are quite a few bios options that I do not understand (this is my first Intel system).

By default ACPI 2.0 Support is disabled in the bios but I have read that it is compulsory for 64 bit systems.

Can anyone help me out?

ACPI is needed for vista.

IF you have Vista installed, you will have to re-install and make sure ACPI is enabled beforehand.

I already have vista installed and acpi is enabled but there is a seperate option for acpi 2.0 which is currently disabled.
Any thoughts?

I would enable it, as vista is ACPI 2.0 compliant. Not sure if it will cure your random freezes though, but it won't do any harm to enable it.
