ACPI tweak?

On my old AMD 3700+ i used to run Advanced Configuration Power Interface (ACPI) PC driver, as the standard driver was either 'Standard PC' or 'ACPI Uniprocessor' and i found the ACPI PC to be the best.
Now i'm on dual core, i can't use ACPI PC because it only uses one core - the only driver i have is ACPI Multiprocessor. Any tweaks or replacements drivers to get this ACPI tweak but with a dual core?

ACPI Multiprocessor is the one you want for dual core. The only real difference between multiprocessor, and multicore is the Software License. Microsoft consider multicore to be a single processor, but as far as software is concerned its multiprocessor.

Aye i know i should be using ACPI multiprocessor.

But comparing my system:
E6300 @ 2.8ghz (1.3v)
1 GB Geil ULL ram at 800mhz (4-4-4-12)
ati x850xt

to an old system with Advanced Configuration Power Interface (ACPI) tweak:
AMD XP 2800+
512mb 400mhz CAS3 RAM
nvidia fx5200

the AMD owns the e6300 at an mmorpg i play. its just so much faster. i dont see how apart from the ACPI tweak, so im looking for a way to do it on my dual core and keep the cores but i dont see a way.

Never seen a performance difference between ACPI PC, and the default ACPI Uniprocessor driver.

If your E6300 is slower than a XP2800+ (which could be beaten quite easily by a P4 'C' Northwood), then I would suggest something is seriously wrong with your drivers/hardware/config.

I'd of thought that, but it's just the mmorpg it beats it at. It's a very old mmorpg (6 years?) but still, my intel should outperform it by far. I used the ACPI tweak on this e6300, and despite only using 1 core the mmorpg ran a lot faster and smoother much like the 2800+ maybe even faster. Confusing

It doesn't support dual core, and stutters because it keeps switching between them. Same issue I had with Unreal Tournament, till I set the affinity in task manager (although I recall there being an application that sets it permanently).

^ looking for this program - if anyone knows of it or has it please.

Tried setting the affinity in task manager but nothing really changed. There's something about the Advanced Configuration Power Interface (ACPI) driver that just loves this mmo.

Any idea what the main differences are between ACPI and all the uniprocessor/multiprocessor ACPI's?
