Just built a new system and device manager is showing an unknown device linked to ACPI. Do I need an ACPI driver? Bios update system drivers installed from Asus web site and Windows update checked.
ROG Z590 with i9 11900K. win 10.

Which ROG Z590 board? There's a few variants of it.

Under the "Chipset" download section make sure to select "See all downloads" as it has hidden drivers for other parts of the board, by default it's only displaying the Intel ME driver but there's also the chipset software utility, serial IO, etc hidden there. High chance the missing driver is one of these.

A quick search does show it's an Intel part, but I can't seem to find any solid leads on what it actually is. It does seem common that Asus forgot to provide the driver though, and a Reddit thread suggested they used Snappy Driver Installer Origin to find and install the missing driver: https://www.snappy-driver-installer.org

I'd download the latest chipset drivers from Asus and install those. It'll likely be some sort of SMBUS device. That's chipset chipset if they've split them up.

If this is the same old missing device then a driver is included as part of Asus Probe/OC software or separate from their site if you do not want the bloatware.
