Acrobat reader on memory stick?

I have a work laptop that has all our company manuals as .pdf files but only has a very outdated version of the reader on it.

Almost all privileges have been disabled so I can't install a newer version on the laptop itself.

Could I install the latest version onto my USB memory stick and use that or does it require all sorts of .dll files etc to work properly?

Cheers.

Cheers for the replies - no admin account that we're allowed anywhere near and many a slapped wrist when we send the laptops back for their far-too-regular repairs if they've been "fiddled with"

I'll give foxit a try - cheers for the suggestions.

Foxit looks good - pity it doesn't have the extended search feature of Acrobat where all instances of a search are displayed on the right as bookmarks though.
