Acronis and SATA drivers

Hi,
I'm about to start a install on a new system and at some point will need to image the HDD (an PATA) on a new one (I'm awaiting delivery of the new SATA one). Thing is last time I gave this a try I could not see the SATA HDD when using acronis. Is there a way of adding the drivers or did I do something silly - I was in a rush last time. Oh I'm using acronis true image 9.

hmm thats strange Ive booted up many times from the acronis bootdisc to use the universal recovery xp copy and its always found the sata hdds at work.

Even on my pc its fine and ive got a seagate 300gigger SATA drive.

Make sure all your connections are on properly on the SATA drive and its enabeled in the bios and showing there.

It must depend on whether your SATA controller is "onboard" like the nforce4 or not like the silicon chipsets.
