I'm contemplating buying another 74bg raptor drive and setting it up in a RAID0 array. However, this is the first windows install I've managed to keep for longer than 3 months, and it's running just how I want it. I don't want to re-install windows basically as it would take ages.

If I took my acronis image and setup the RAID 0 array, would acronis have any complaints restoring it to the array?

I don't think True Image would have any complaints. I think that Windows might though, unless you can install the raid drivers in Windows before you take the image. Also i think you might have to do a fixboot and fixmbr from your windows cd before you boot to windows on the raid array, because it will have the wrong mbr.

works fine, done it a few times!

acronis just injects the drivers :)

Wow, you learn something new every day. Although i've been using True Image for ages i've never done what the op want's to do. But if TI installs the drivers for you, that's very handy to know. Does it alter the MBR and boot files as well?

as far as i've seen, as long as acronis has the drivers for the sata controller (keeping acronis up to date helps), then it just sees any sata or raid setup as a drive and you're none the wiser :)
