Acronis True Image 10 gurus help a noob!

How do i go about using True Image 10 as i would using Norton Ghost.

Basically i want to burn the files to a DVD disc and pop it on the drive when my system goes bye bye and run through the restore process so that i have Windows back up the way it was on day one of install.

I've been using this recently. All you need is a share on a computer to backup the image of the HD to. It's FREE, and once you have an image you follow a few steps listed in the howto to create a bootable DVD of the imaged harddrive, that can then automoatically restore a harddrive.

It's very good.

chuck the disc in the drive and setup 'acronis secure zone'

adds a 'press F11 to enter acronis true image' link before windows starts



it'll shave a few gb off your main drive and store the image in there (so it can restore it super fast) you can resize the partition with the acronis program once you've done the backup, so no space is wasted
