Sometimes, not always, when I restore a TI 2017 backup, my Win10 Pro Excreter's Edition becomes deactivated.
The first time it happened was about 3 weeks ago and I just let it be deactivated, but a week ago, Windows F'd up (what a surprise) and I restored the image and it showed as activated.
Yesterday, I restored again and now it's not activated, but I can update Windows.

Has anyone else had the same problem and how did you fix it?
Did you fix it by calling Microsoft or can you run a Registry fix?

Are there any better backup/restore programs similar to True Image, that might be more compatible with this P.O.S. sorry I meant O.S.? :p
Something that I can create boot media.

Edit: I need password protection, encryption and the ability to compress the backup.

Thank you :)

Purely as a matter of curiosity, why do you need "password protection and encryption"? I would imagine that compression is more or less a given on any image based backup and recovery product and would offer pretty effective encryption.

Just to protect my data, if the storage disks I use are stolen.
Email accounts are the gateway to your entire online existence. They need protecting.
