Acronis via USB

can someone tell me how to use Acronis from a usb stick? Trying to image a netbook at work.

If you run the backup from Windows you should be able to just select the USB stick as your destination drive for the images.

^misread the post..


install it on a test pc.
insert usb stick
go to the 'bootable media builder'
select usb stick as destination

it will make the usb stick a bootable acronis stick, now put this in the netbook, restart and boot from usb

i never install acronis, i only use the bootable media

the company image is on the company network.

i'm assuming the netbook has no cd drive, yes?

the bootable usb/cd can browse network folders too, so no worries -although it'd restore faster if it was from the usb stick

yes we normally install off a bootable Acronis cd but as there's no cd drive, I figured I could probably boot off a USB stick instead.

edit. think I 've found it, there is an option within the program once installed to create a bootable Acronis USB stick. Teach me to look next time.
