just a quicky. Have made an image to my external drive. Now if I want to boot the computer and direct it to this image (incase of meltdown) do I now just go to 'bootable rescue media bullder' tick the box marked Acronis true image home and make a cd/usb flash

As far as I know, yes. That will then create a bootable cd/usb/floppy that will let you restore the backup to your drive.

If you make a boot cd in the program, boot with this in the drive and just follow the screens simple!!!!!

Just remember, if you're browsing to an external hard drive, give it 30 secs or so before browsing for the image as some external devices dont appear right away

and yes, bootable rescue media cd, slap it in your pc, boot to it, and follow instructions

i make the backups from the disc too

shaves a few mb off not having acronis installed
