Act of kindness?

To be fair… this is new news…

The first post was in regards of how great a person was for being a hero and fixing the boiler of an elderly lady for free.

This post actually says that “hero” was full of BS and used fake stories to make themselves out to be heroes to get donations.

Neither opening posts actually explains anything nor has the OP views and yeah are basically RSS feeds.

I remember stumbling across this bloke a few years ago on Twitter. Something seemed off in my view. It was like one of those campaigns where people film themselves giving to the homeless for social media clout. Though on a much grander scale. Grifters gonna' grift I suppose.

He was just in GBNews earlier.

Apparently he had said one of the elderly women he'd helped was about to hang herself. He had posted a picture of a noose, yet according to her relatives (she's died now) the story was made up.

When he was asked why he posted the noose he was reluctant to answer and tried to brush over it.

I'm not sure what to think of him. Was it a PR stunt that got out of hand or was there a con in mind from the start?

Matthew 6:2 said:
Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

Seems appropriate. I'm always suspicious of those who broadcast their good works, for whatever reason.
