Hello all,

Im usually an FPS gamer but i decided to get a copy of Assassins Creed to try a different genre and i fully enjoyed it.

The question is seeming as im new to this type of genre what other games that fall into this category on the 360 would you recommend i have a go at ?

Im not into slaying monsters or killing ogres so i think that counts oblivion out ?

So if you have any ideas i would appreciate it.

Thanks

Stranglehold? I thought it sucked but it is along the same lines. Third person shooter type thing.

New Splinter Cell coming out called Conviction. Should be good :) I suppose you could say it is a bit like Assassins Creed.

GTA4 is on its way in a few months, I suppose you could call that an action adventure.

Alan Wake as well?

Unfortunately, only 1 of the above has actually been released at this time.

Crackdown should be top of your list.

Others I'd recommend are Kameo (though it maybe is a tad fantasy esque for your tastes), Saints Row (GTA clone), Dead Rising (zombie sandbox and one of the best games on the 360 per se) and maybe Lego Star Wars.

Crackdown
Tomb Raider: Legend
Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Just Cause
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Hitman: Blood Money

Those are the ones that come to mind.

Forgot about Crackdown. I never completed it in the end but it was really good for the time I played it. Might pick it up 2nd hand again when I complete Mass Effect,

I used to love shooting out cars tyres on the higway parts because when they flipped over it was AWESOME!!!

The Darkness could maybe be worth a look and Bioshock although not really sure if they could be called action/adventure but to me they seem to fit

Im liking the look of Alan Wake, Also the Splinter Cell looks like it could be good aswell. Thanks for the ideas.

Whats the latest one ?

Anniversary, which is a revamp of the original game.

You could probably pick that and Legend up for the price of a single game now, I know of at least one place where Anniversary is £15 and Legend shouldn't be much more than that, even if it's 2nd hand.

Tomb raider anniversary!

One of the best games of last year imo, but went severly un-noticed.

You cant say no to a bit of Miss Croft as well!
