Action cam recommendations (Snowboarding)

Hi guys, I'm off snowboarding in Bulgaria in a couple of weeks and thought it might be cool to video some of it... Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations? The base Rollei version (5S?) 'only' seems to record 2.5hours due to the battery life, which would probably be enough but would be cool to have more? SD card space is not an issue (have a couple of high capacity cards already) but what about batteries and charging on the Rollei? Will have a tablet with us, but not on the slopes (galaxy tab 2) which I can clear cards with so the battery life & charging is my main concern. Also as I'm learning, what are the Rollei's like when it comes to toughness/shock proof?

I'd probably be helmet mounting it for ease (as it comes with one) as won't have a backpack to strap mount it. Helmet & board will be rentals.

Have a thread with the same info in Sports Arena but the only response was to look at a Gopro hero (2 or 3) but I don't see any real difference at the lower end of the market (where I'll be buying). Thoughts/recommendations?

Hi we use a gopro hero 3 black very good video and pics also mounts are good to
I take a Veho pebble 3000 charger and use it to charge wile we have dinner on slopes and also have spare battery's and you can get a remote control and iPhone will control it

I've got a Drift Ghost HD, really good camera for the price, has wrist strap remote and goggle mount in the box and you can also view the camera display and control it from your phone if you want.

The main feature I like is the ability to power it from usb while recording, so I just have one of those usb battery packs in my backpack or in a pocket and power the camera from that the whole day.

Both great suggestions guys, but the Drift Ghost HD and Hero 3 are out of my budget... Although I do have some USB recharge packs I could use with whatever choice I make.

I'm looking at spending around £150 all in (to start with) as it's only to see if it's worthwhile doing!
