Action camera £150.00 help

Looking for a Go-Pro alternative for around £150.00. The action cam market seems to change very rapidly, so difficult to know what is at the cutting edge of the budget market.

What I want it for:

• Hiking camera - general holiday recording while walking in the mountains Austria.
• Small as possible as I want to connect it to my rucksack strap.
• Image stabalised
• Timelapses - I live near the coast and as the summer months are coming up I'd quite like to do some sunrise and sunset stuff.
• Biking, would like to record some rides around the coast just so I can look back on them in the future.

I'm not sure if I actually need 4k, I would rather deal in smaller 1080p, 60fps files.

Hear good things about the YI cameras other than that I'm overwhelmed by the options. Anyone bought one recently?

I bought a cheap and nasty ACT74 from Amazon and did a USA roadtrip time lapse with it. Its alright for the money. The Hero Session 5 is currently £179.99 on Amazon, so id probably just go for that. The cheapo one on amazon had very questionable build quality

Hero Session 5 without a doubt. Occasional deals around £150, and plenty of pre-owned at that price or below. It'll do everything you need, and the image stabilisation actually works pretty well, fairly close to the Hero 6 based on my experience.

Just don't expect to be able to record any decent sound at above jogging pace.

Thanks for the answers, worried about some of the reviews on Amazon of the Chinese cameras, brilliant for 3 months then start to die.

Go pro all day, I got a cheap one and it was dire compared to a go pro, I only use mine 10 days of the year while I'm on holiday but when I record something I know its going to be great quality.

Found a deal for a Hero5 for £211.00 bit more than wanted to spend but still seems like a good deal.
