Ive just been activated 4 days before my set activation date, just wondering is this simply because BT had more time so managed to activate more connections in a shorter period of time?

also these are the line stats

Downstream Rate: 6592 Kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 Kbps
Downstream Margin: 2 db
Upstream Margin: 24 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 43
Upstream Line Attenuation: 24

from the checkers etc it said could get 4mb max, ive no idea what the stats mean, does it look ok?

I'm afraid the stats aren't too good - the 2dB Downstream Margin will need to be min 6dB, over the next 10 days your sync rate should drop to allow the noise margin to increase.

edit: you might want to check your internal wiring - plug the router/modem into the test port behind the main faceplate (assuming you have an NTE5 box at the point where the phone line enters the house), unplug all other phones, try another filter etc.

Stats aren't so bad - you're syncing at 6592Kbps which puts you on the 5.5mbit IP profile.

As mentioned before, your SNR is fairly low (but I noticed you posted that in the evening when it's often lower anyway) so expect a sync loss at some point. As long as it stays at over 6240Kbps then you'll remain on 5.5mbit. You need 5696Kbps or over for 5mbit so I'd be fairly confident that in the long run you'll see 5mbit stable. Don't quote me on that though ;)
