I recently had to do a fresh installation of the OS on a PC and now had to put AutoCAD 2007 back onto it. I am having trouble activating it now:(

We have the license file on the server which the program is then suppose to point to but wont activate at all now. On the server is the Network License Manager program which points to the license.

Every time i start AutoCAD it asks do i want to activate!

As far as im aware you only need the network license manager on the server and then just install the AutoCAD program on the client computers.

Anyone know anything about this??

Thanks

Did you specify the license server information during the installation?

It's been a year or two since I last dealt with AutoCAD. I used to create custom installation packages with integrated license server information.

Ok i went and modified the admin image because i had to pull it off our old server and the config was set to point to the old server instead of the current one. So i modified the admin image where config was set to the old server but still no luck:(

Eliminating the obvious but can you ping the License server from the problem PC?

Also I guess you have other instances of AutoCAD installed? If so make sure they are getting licenses too?
