Activating Sever 2016

Hi

I help out a local community centre. I installed Server 2016 on the server and set it all back up. Everything is working fine apart from I can't activate Windows. I have a valid MAK key.

When I go to the activation screen and click change product key nothing happens. If I click troubleshoot nothing happens either.

What could the problem be? I have uploaded a pic HERE

Got it working with this method

1. click START (gets you to the tiles)
2. type RUN
3. type slui 3 and press ENTER
   1. yes, SLUI: which stands for SOFTWARE LICENSING USER INTERFACE
   2. SLUI 1 brings up the activation status window
   3. SLUI 2 brings up the activation window
   4. SLUI 3 brings up the CHANGE PRODUCT KEY window
   5. SLUI 4 brings up the CALL MICROSOFT & MANUALLY ACTIVATE window

In every iteration of a MS OS i've had far more success using the cmd line tool "slmgr" than any of the gui solutions
Open an elevated cmd prompt and run type in "slmgr.vbs"
it will then display the various command line options, your likely to only need the following

slmgr /ipk "YourKey"
then
slmgr /ato
