Activation limit has been reached??

Just installed Mass Effect on my new PC, and I am greeted with a lovely error message saying...

Firstly, why am I getting this? and secondly how do I get it activated, went to the EA site and could'nt see anything to do with this?? :mad:

I think you have installed mass effect on to many pcs. I had this as well. Have you recently changed hardware or reinstall of OS? contact EA is the best bet, they fixed it for me

Because you bought an EA game.

I haven't bought an EA game for yonks, as their DRM methods may as well be a literal kick in the nuts for the legitimate customer.

ea usuallt have a drm deauthorization tool in the games install folder but never tell people about it and they dont seem to auto run when you uninstall

I had the same and emailed them numerous times with no reply. EA are useless...

I had this a couple of months ago when Burnout Paradise did the same (only ever installed on this PC and no hardware changes made since last played). EA were able to reset the number of activations remotely, but I had to wait two weeks for this as "their system to do this is under maintenance, resubmit your request in 1-2 weeks". Hopefully that was a one-off delay and they should be able to sort you out pretty quickly.
