Hoping for some help.

I'm going to buy a 3D active TV this year, but I want to find out what options the active 3D has.

On my passive 3D TV if I get crosstalk there is an option to line the image up to what it should be.
Has active 3D got this option? or other option to do this?

Thanks .

Hi

I have a Sony 50w829 which has active 3D and i dont see any option too line the image up but then maybe this is not needed on an active 3D models:)

When i press the 3D key on the remote i get the following options.

3D-side-by-side
3D over-under
3D Simulated
2D left only
2D top only

My Samsung H6400 has this option. Never had to use it though.

Why go for active over passive though? It's really annoying to replace the batteries in the glasses all the time and they are quite dark and annoying.

I've got a LG 55" passive which is now two years old so it's going in my bedroom.
I want to replace it with a 65" but I thought I would try active.

These are the 3D active glasses I will get https://3d3.co.uk/home.php
I think I'm going with the Sony KD 65X8509. Thanks again

Active 3D uses 1080 lines for each eye while passes can only show 540 lines per eye so there is a quality difference... one reason to go for active over passive :)

Batteries are still going strong in my glasses its not really an issue imo and i find the sony glasses quite comfortable over the top of my normal glasses :)

Oh btw deuse my sony does have some extra settings for 3D

3D depth adjustment
Simulated 3D effect
3D glasses brightness
Auto 3D
3D signal notification

Sony KD 65X8509 is a nice choice and from what i have read Active 3D on a 4K tv is even better.
