Hi im looking at the corsair and OCZ RAM fans,
the worying thing is the 6000rpm 40mm fans.
My ram gets very warm, not to hot to touch but it is a concern,
Im using 4x1gb OCZ platinum XTC 6400.
How can I cool it without adding lots of noise, my case currently has 5x120mm fans including the cpu, 2 on a contoller and 3 contolled by motherboard, so any further fans will have to be powered direct from PSU and I dont really want to add more kit in the way of controllers etc.
Is there a (very) simple way to step down the PSU/molex voltage to contol the RPM, or is there a better way of going about this?
Another option is im cosidering replacing my akasa 120mm amber on the CPU with somthing better, so was wondering if if I could somehow graft the akasa onto the ram, as it would cover all the ram quite nicely with its hub being centered over the gap between the groups of ram and wouldnt be to loud if stepped down slightly.
I want to take it off the CPU as it does whine a bit.
Thanks
