Actual last minute holiday deals?

Want to go away in Jan/Feb next year, probably somewhere like Canaries as it'll still be warm but don't want to book anything just yet and was thinking about poss booking it last minute.

I know in years gone by last minute holiday bookings were a big thing and you could get some good deals if you wanted to fly the following week or a few days after.

Do deals like this still exist? Are there any sites that cater just for this?

I've been on Last Minute.com and the usual places like TUI and Thomas Cook but just wondering if I'm missing a trick for where I should be looking for them?

Last minute deals are definitely not as good as they once were. I do get some offers come up, usually about a month before. Keep an eye on Facebook, there are lots of deals but make sure that any agent you use has an ABTA number.

This is basically the way forward. If you're flexible there's usually some absolute bargains.

If you look 3-4 weeks away they seem to have biggest drop i find.

I find 90% of flight deals now are via trip.com which I'd avoid like any recent pandemic.

Compare prices for the same place and hotel for next week, the week after and say mid January and mid February (avoid half term week!). That will give you an idea of what drops may be coming.

Well I'm looking to go at the end of Jan/start of Feb so hopefully prices aren't too bad. Basically want to book something closer to the time to make sure there's no freak weather and it looks to be generally fine.

if you know roughly where you are wanting to go, google flights and its reminders are decent for any price drops
Used it a few times now
