what are peoples views on the antec nine hundred?... seems an absolute bargain considering what the case seems to offer, but i'd like some owners opinions if poss! any downsides? is the p182 a better case for the price? (id like the p190 after looking at it, but the wife would have my 'nads off with secateurs if i paid over 200 notes for a case.... )

just can't make up my mind now...

Dust magnet.

Good case though. It's well built, has good cooling, doesn't look half bad and comes well equipped for a system with a good number of hard drives and also won't cost you an arm and a leg.
It does make for an excellent cheap file server case though with room for 3, 4-in-3 hdd bay devices. :D

Dust magnet, as stated. But i love mine. All the fans on their lowest setting, and everything is kept cool. If you like the looks, buy it. It can be a tad cramped in there, with few places to hide cabling, but tbh, it doesnt matter that much. I wish i could change the side window on mine so its just big.

Decent for moving a system around in too, can even put them in the hands of courriers and your system will get to the location still working.

Some horror stories of hdd cages coming loose and having their way with the innards of the computer, would not want to see the result of that one!

Antec said in a recent video interview posted over at hex*s that the Antec 900 is there best selling case in UK.

Ive had both the 900 and P182 heres both my reviews:

Antec 182: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sh...ighlight=antec+900+review+username_highlander

Which is a week old.

And the Antec 900 review:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sh...ighlight=antec+900+review+username_highlander

Overall Antec 900 has been my favorite case, its weakest factor is its cramped and simply not big enough and its not so easy to enjoy building a pc in. But it makes up for this with excellent air cooling... the cooling is so good that my GTX remained so cool it never got hot so it never revved up its fan and became noisy, my Eclipse62/Antec182 had those issues.... My hdds/mainboard/cpu and GTX remained cool and great much better then any other case and that was from 2 silent front 120mm fans only!

If I had to choose again id get Antec 900:)

But..... remember the Antec 1200 is due soon and promises to have dust filters/space and full lenght mainboards and more space for GTX as well.

I thought the 1200 was supposed to be the same length as the 900 and have the same issues with the GTX.

Yeah im not 100% on that but the antec 1200 does say its it supports EATX boards so I assume its longer...

Although looking at the shots doesnt look any much longer then the original 1200, cos theres no reviews/size dimensions cant tell sadly.

If antec have kept it the same length im gonna official declare them idiots and email them do you know what a 8800GTX is.
