Have you selected "Block Pop Up Windows" ?
I know it's a basic blocker, but it's better than no form of blockage

It's NOT dead in Leopard.
• Put SafariBlock in /Library/InputManagers/
• In the Terminal, type
'sudo chown -R root:admin /Library/InputManagers'
• Supply an admin password
• Start up Safari

Use the Good Vibrations CSS file? Works a treat for me and no hacking around with Safari's internals.
SafariStand has just been updated for Safari 3 on Leopard, I haven't tried it though. I am waiting for PithHelmet to be updated.
